Premium gives unlimited text chat, with images, audio messages, videos and new characters paid in coins at published rates. The 12-month plan works out at $5.99 a month. Its own character catalog includes a sexualized official character framed around a teenager's friend, so the score is capped.

Our April review called Luvr AI the best budget platform for roleplay and scored it 7.5, on the strength of roleplay, memory and voice claims we can't back up, and with a $9.99 monthly plan and a $0.99 day trial that are no longer on the public pricing page. This update replaces it with what Luvr publishes: on 20 October 2026, luvr.ai's pricing page sold two plans, 12 months for $71.88 and 6 months for $53.94, and a coin shop sold the coins that images, audio and video cost.

Everything below comes from pages anyone can open: the subscribe page and the plan data its code loads, the coin shop, the character-creator pages, the terms, privacy, refunds, cancellation, underage and blocked-content policies, the contact pages, Trustpilot and the App Store. It is not a hands-on test, so there are no chat logs, sample images or judgments of writing quality here. Where something sits behind the login wall, we say so. We loaded the pages from France and they still showed US dollars.

What You Get

Luvr AI is a web app at luvr.ai for chatting with AI characters who can also send images, audio messages and short videos. The footer names LUVR INC, and the contact page gives 8 The Green, Ste B, Dover, Delaware, a US phone number and help@luvr.ai.

• Text chat: 10 messages a day on Free, unlimited on Premium, according to the pricing table. Luvr publishes no memory limit, response-speed tier or queue priority by plan, unlike competitors such as Kupid AI that spell those out. The one memory claim on the site is in the pricing page's testimonials ("She remembers every detail of our conversations"); those ten testimonials, with names and cities, are written into the page's code, not pulled from a review platform.
• Pre-made characters: a gallery of "official" characters, realistic and anime, female and male, filtered by tags such as Dominant, Submissive, Romance, Roleplay, Fantasy, BDSM, Flirty and Petite.
• Images, audio and video: each paid in coins at published rates (below). The pricing table marks image generation and "voice & video" as Premium only. The image page shows a chat example where a user asks for a picture in a black bikini, which is the in-chat flow the site advertises.
• Calls: the menu links to a "Call" page. How calls work and what they cost is behind the age gate and login wall.
• Daily challenges: a challenges page promises rewards, characters and bonuses for completing tasks; the details need an account.
• An API business: Luvr also sells its characters, chat, images, audio and video to other developers through an "AI Girlfriend API".
• No official store app: luvr.ai links to no App Store or Google Play listing. An iPhone app named "Luvr: Ai Girlfriend Chat Ai" does exist, but Apple lists an individual developer as its seller, not Luvr Inc. Don't confuse the two.

Characters & the Creator

The April review described a "four-pillar" creator and "celebrity AI versions". We found neither on the public pages. What the site does contain, as of 20 October, is a creator linked from the menu and a second, eight-step builder at luvr.ai/create/builder that the menu does not link to. The builder's options:

• Style: realistic or anime.
• Look: 5 ethnicities, 5 age bands, 5 eye colors, 7 hairstyles, 8 hair colors, 5 body types, 5 breast sizes and 5 butt sizes.
• Personality: 12 types, from Dominant, Submissive and Nurturing to Bratty, Stalker and Bimbo.
• Background: 33 occupations and up to 3 hobbies.
• Relationship: 9 types, including Girlfriend, Spouse, Colleague, Stranger, Sexfriend, Bully and Classmate.

Two details matter for the price. First, the menu-linked creator's code spends 50 coins when it makes a character, and the pricing FAQ says unlocking a new pre-made character also costs 50 coins, even though the pricing table lists "300+" characters as a Premium feature. Second, both creators write "Gryphe/MythoMax-L2-13b" into new characters as their default text model. That is an open-source 13-billion-parameter roleplay model released in 2023. We can't see which model actually answers behind the login wall, but it is the default Luvr's own code sets. The age, body and relationship options are covered under Before you pay.

Images, Audio & Video: the Coin Prices

Everything beyond text costs coins, at prices Luvr publishes both on the coin shop and in the pricing FAQ:

• Image: 50 coins
• Audio message: 20 coins
• Video: 150 coins
• Unlocking a new character: 50 coins

Adult Content

Luvr is explicit about being explicit. The pricing FAQ says there are "no limits on the type of content your AI companion can create" and "no restrictions" on conversations, and the image page promises NSFW images, "completely uncensored" in chat. The pricing table marks NSFW content as Premium only. Luvr's own policies narrow that: the blocked-content policy bans illegal content and anything exploitative toward minors, and the underage policy says a "proprietary content moderation filter" flags content for manual review.

Prices & Which Plan to Choose

Prices seen on the subscribe page on 20 October 2026, in US dollars. The plan data loaded by the page shows each amount is charged upfront and renews at the same price for the same period.

There was no monthly plan on the public page. The page advertises 5,000 bonus coins on the annual plan; the plan data we read credits 28,080 coins for the year, which is exactly 12 × 2,340, so we could not confirm the bonus. Check your balance after paying.

What a Plan's Coins Buy

Because chat is unlimited on both plans, the real difference between them is the coins. The table spends a whole plan's coins on one kind of media, so each per-unit figure is a ceiling; in practice the same fee also pays for unlimited chat.

Which plan, if you pay at all: the 12-month plan. It costs $17.94 more than the 6-month plan, lasts twice as long and gives more coins each month. Bought separately, the same images cost $0.38 to $0.50 each. Keep in mind that 46 images a month is roughly one and a half a day, and a single video uses three images' worth of coins. Our recommendation remains to look at the alternatives first.

Before You Pay

Safety: what Luvr's own catalog contains

This is the most serious finding of our check. Luvr's character pages are public and set to be indexed by search engines, and one of them, for a character the page data marks as created by Luvr itself, is titled "Your NSFW AI Girlfriend" and describes her as "your teenage daughter's closest friend" whose "young body radiates youthful energy", in a scene set after your daughter "leaves for school". Her profile calls her an "innocent seductress" with a "childlike charm". We are not linking to it. The same catalog has a heavily used user-made card, with a public NSFW page tagged "Smut", whose character introduces herself as "a high school senior", and an official male character whose page data gives his age as 17. These characters were not in the main gallery or sitemap on 20 October, but anyone with the link could open them.

The creators add to the picture. The eight-step builder's age options start with "Teen (18+)", its body types include "Petite" and its breast sizes include "Flat". In the menu-linked creator, the "Classmate" relationship sets the character's image prompt to "at school, school uniform, fully clothed", and the "Bully" relationship also places her "at school". "Petite" is one of the site's main navigation tags. Luvr's policies ban anything exploitative toward minors and promise a moderation filter, but its own catalog shows how far that goes, and age checks rely on a click-through age gate. If you come across anything that crosses the line, report it through the in-app report button or support@luvr.ai, or to the NCMEC CyberTipline in the US.

Refunds, cancellation and who runs it

• Company: Luvr Inc, 8 The Green, Ste B, Dover, DE 19901, United States, which is the address on the contact page and the 2257 statement. Many companies use this Dover address for registration. The terms were made with the TermsFeed generator and set the governing law as "San Francisco, United States"; the privacy policy, made with the same generator, says "Texas, United States".
• Payment: card checkout built on CCBill, a long-standing adult-industry payment processor, whose complaint form Luvr also uses for takedown requests. The coin shop promises discreet billing.
• Refunds: the pricing page and its FAQ promise a "30-day money-back guarantee... no questions asked". The refunds policy (last updated 15 January 2024) says refunds are "considered on a case-by-case basis", may be prorated, and that partial refunds "may be considered" within the first 7 days of a billing cycle. The cancellation policy repeats "case by case". The terms of service contain no billing or refund section at all.
• Cancelling: the pricing page and contact-page FAQ say you can cancel in your account settings. The cancellation policy says to email support@luvr.ai with your account details. Try the settings button, and email anyway so you have a record.
• Declined payments: the contact-page FAQ suggests "creating another account, and using a different email and payment method". That is an odd thing for a support page to recommend.
• Age checks: the underage policy describes an "initial age gate", meaning you click to confirm you're 18+. We saw no third-party age verification on the public pages. The same policy gives yet another contact address, support@luvrmail.ai.
• Complaints: the complaints policy promises acknowledgment within 24 hours and resolution within 7 business days.

If the 30-day guarantee matters to you, screenshot it before paying, and if you want out, ask for the refund in writing within 30 days, quoting Luvr's own pricing page.

Prices that depend on how you arrive

• Anchor prices: both plans carry a "Was $19.99/month" anchor, which is where the "70% off" and "55% off" badges come from. $19.99 is the monthly price the plan data reserves for visitors who arrive through some referral links. Those visitors are shown a different pair: 1 month at $19.99 with 1,300 coins, or 12 months at $49.99 (displayed as $4.17 a month). The plan data also holds test offers, such as a first month at $9.99 or $12.99 that renews at $19.99.
• The $0.99 trial: not on the public pricing page. A day-trial checkout page still exists at luvr.ai/subscribe/day-trial; its code charges $0.99 for one day and then $12.99 every 30 days. If you are offered it, it renews monthly unless you cancel.
• Urgency features: the "127 subscribed today" counter under the checkout button is driven by the page's own script, which nudges the number up or down every few seconds and never lets it fall below 120; it is not a live count. A "75% off on Premium" banner on the creator page runs a 30-minute countdown that simply restarts when it reaches zero.
• Marketing numbers: the homepage says "Join 1+ million others", the API page says "15M+ Users", and character counts move too: the pricing table says Premium unlocks "300+" characters, the homepage FAQ says "1000's", and the pricing page's meta description says "100+". Popular characters show chat counters in the millions (Ember at 24.7M on one page and 19.0M on another the same day).

User feedback

User feedback barely exists. On 20 October 2026 Luvr's Trustpilot profile was unclaimed, with a TrustScore of 2.9 from just two reviews, both 1-star. The one displayed, from December 2025, calls the conversations mechanical, slow and overpriced; the second was not shown on the public page. Two reviews are not a trend, and we found no billing complaints either way. With fewer than 50 reviews anywhere, the User Feedback score is set to a neutral 5.0.

On price and features, Luvr AI would be a decent budget pick. Its own catalog is the reason we don't recommend it. Down from 7.5 in April.

The product side is real: $71.88 for a year of unlimited text chat plus 2,340 coins a month is low, Luvr publishes what each image, audio message and video costs, and it offers realistic and anime characters, voice and video, and a detailed creator. The paperwork is uneven: the refund promise on the pricing page is contradicted by the refund policy, the cancellation instructions are contradicted by the cancellation policy, prices change with the link you arrive through, and the subscriber counter is scripted.

None of that decides the score. Luvr's own catalog includes an official character whose public NSFW page describes her as your teenage daughter's friend with a "young body", and an official character whose page data gives his age as 17. Under our method, publisher content that explicitly codes a minor caps the score at 4.5 and rules out a recommendation, whatever the price. The creator's "Teen (18+)", "Flat" and school-uniform "Classmate" options are adult role-play tropes that would, on their own, cost a point rather than trigger the cap.
