GirlfriendGPT's strength is choice. Instead of a handful of official companions, it gives you a huge library of user-made characters and scenarios, sorted by type, genre, kink and more, plus your own creations. On top of chat, paid plans add image generation, short videos and voice, with message and coin allowances stated up front.

This page rests on things anyone can check: the FAQ, the plan copy and plan data loaded by the subscribe page, the terms of use (last modified 18 June 2026), the community guidelines, underage and blocked-content policies, the public sitemaps and Trustpilot, all loaded from France on 20 October 2026. It is not a hands-on test, so there are no chat logs or sample images, and we make no claim about writing or image quality. It replaces our March review, which quoted two plans and a $30 Deluxe tier that no longer match the site.

What You Get

GirlfriendGPT is a web app for chatting with AI characters, most of them made by other users, with image and short-video generation on top. The brand lives at gptgirlfriend.online; on 20 October 2026 girlfriendgpt.com redirected there. The terms name NextDay AI Incorporated, based in Quebec, Canada, as the owner, with two subsidiaries: NextDay AI USA Inc in Delaware and NextDay AI EU Ltd in Limassol, Cyprus.

• Community characters: the homepage ranks user-made characters by popularity, with filters for Realistic or anime styles, genders and tags such as Scenario, Dominant, Submissive, Fictional, MILF, Femdom, Monster Girl and RPG.
• Male companions: there is an AI boyfriend section. If that is your main interest, our best AI boyfriend apps list covers more options.
• Media: image generation, in-chat pictures and short videos, paid for with coins.
• Languages: the interface runs in 12 languages, including German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.
• Mobile: the download page offers a web app you add to your home screen and, on Android, an APK downloaded straight from the site. We found no App Store or Google Play listing on 20 October, even though the terms mention apps on both.

Character Library & Creation

The library is the main reason to pick GirlfriendGPT. Its public sitemaps listed about 70,500 character pages on 20 October 2026, and the AI girlfriend category page alone showed 23,032 characters. The categories page sorts them by character type, genre, personality, physical traits, origin, sexuality, fantasy, kink, religion and ethnicity.

Anyone can publish a character, so the list mixes elaborate scenarios with one-line prompts; popularity counters on each card are the quality signal visible without an account, and we did not grade individual characters.

Creating your own needs an account. The creator page offers a "Quick Create" and a "Custom Create" mode, with its options behind the login. The terms say free accounts can create "2 or 3 characters", and a plan prompt says paid plans allow "unlimited character creations".

Chat, Memory & Models by Plan

We can't grade the writing without a fresh test, so this section sticks to what the plan copy promises. It ties three things to your tier:

• Messages: 5,000 a month on Premium, 20,000 on Deluxe, unlimited on Elite. The terms say message credits reset monthly and do not carry over.
• Memory: Deluxe advertises "2x more chatbot memory" (an 8K context), Elite "8x more" (up to 32K context on select models) plus "advanced long-term memory". Premium's copy mentions no memory upgrade.
• Models: Premium and Deluxe list "Premium Models"; Elite lists "our best chat & video models" and a "Next-Gen AI Model".

Images, Videos & Voice

Media runs on coins. The plan copy gives Premium 400 coins a month, Deluxe 1,200 and Elite 2,000. Coin packs of 300, 840 and 2,000 coins are sold separately; the 840-coin pack's description says it can "generate over 140 images", which works out to roughly 6 coins per image. The 2,000-coin pack is described as having "lifetime validity".

• Videos: Premium can create custom 5-second videos, Deluxe 10-second videos with faster generation, Elite gets the "best" video models.
• Voice: the FAQ says characters can send voice messages. The plan copy lists "voice messages in chat" for Premium and "voice calls with chatbots" for Deluxe, while the plan data only sets the voice flag on Deluxe and Elite. Adult Content

The homepage promises "unrestricted AI fantasies" and chat with "no filters, no timeouts". In the plan data, NSFW is switched on for the three paid plans and off for Free, so a paid plan is what unlocks adult chat and media.

The legal pages set the limits. The Underage and Blocked Content policies describe a moderation filter built on GirlfriendGPT's own language model: flagged content can be reviewed by staff and can get an account terminated. The FAQ says it has "implemented filters and guidelines" and that trying to bypass the NSFW filter "may lead to restricted access". Banned outright: content resembling minors, incest, sexual violence and bestiality, among others. Age checks are a self-declared 18+ confirmation at sign-up, according to the Underage Policy.

Prices & Which Plan to Choose

The subscribe page only loads its plan table after sign-in, so the prices below come from GirlfriendGPT's public FAQ ("What are the pricing choices on GirlfriendGPT?"), in US dollars, and the allowances from the plan copy loaded with the subscribe page. The pricing code also carries euro and pound price lists, so European visitors may be charged in euros; those amounts aren't visible without an account. Seen on 20 October 2026:

Yearly billing exists: the plan copy has "Monthly billing" and "Yearly billing" toggles, and on 20 October the AI girlfriend page ran a banner reading "Exclusive discount, 34% off on yearly plans, Deluxe & Elite". The pricing code sets the yearly reference prices at exactly twelve monthly payments ($180, $420 and $600), so that discount is measured against paying month by month.

What each plan buys per dollar, using the monthly prices and the roughly 6 coins per image implied by the 840-coin pack's description (all coins spent on images; videos cost more, by an amount GirlfriendGPT doesn't publish):

Our pick: Premium at $15 a month, billed monthly. 5,000 messages is about 165 a day, which covers most people who chat in the evenings, and 400 coins leave room for images and short clips. Move up to Deluxe ($35) if you want voice calls, longer memory and 10-second videos, or if you chat heavily every day: it gives four times the messages and three times the coins. Elite ($50) only makes sense if you regularly run past 20,000 messages a month. Start monthly either way: once you are signed in you can see the yearly price and decide whether the discount is worth committing.

Before You Pay

Everything below comes from GirlfriendGPT's own pages or its public Trustpilot profile. Each point affects what you pay, what you can get back or what you will see on the site.

• Hidden prices: yearly amounts, coin-pack prices and the coin cost of a video only show after sign-in, or not at all. The yearly banner comes with a countdown timer.
• Free tier: it is a trial. The terms describe free use as 2 or 3 characters and a limited message count, such as 10 to 20 messages in total, with more credits for completing tasks, and NSFW is off.
• Refunds: the terms say paid subscriptions are not refunded, except "in certain limited cases" such as a mistake by GirlfriendGPT or a technical issue. Purchases through CCBill follow CCBill's own refund policy; others are reviewed case by case by support. A stricter refund law in your country overrides the policy, and one May 2026 Trustpilot reviewer says their refund went through smoothly.
• Cancelling: from the Manage subscription page in your account; the subscribe FAQ says you can cancel at any time. A cancellation received after a new billing period has started may still be charged for that period. CCBill subscriptions are cancelled on CCBill's site.
• Payment: credit and prepaid cards, through processors including CCBill and TrustPay, with Apple Pay and Google Pay suggested by the checkout when a card fails. No PayPal. Crypto is accepted, but only by opening a support ticket on GirlfriendGPT's Discord. The checkout promises "Only Discrete and Secure Transactions in your bank statements" and "No Hidden Fees. Cancel Anytime."; we could not see the actual billing name.
• Who runs it: NextDay AI Incorporated, 4388 Saint-Denis, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, with NextDay AI USA Inc (Delaware) and NextDay AI EU Ltd (Limassol, Cyprus). The terms fall under Quebec law and Quebec courts, and include a class-action waiver.
• Privacy: the FAQ says chats are encrypted in transit and at rest and private to you. The moderation policies say chats can be flagged and read by staff, so "private" means not public, not unread.
• User feedback: on 20 October 2026 the unclaimed Trustpilot profile for gptgirlfriend.online showed 2.7 out of 5 from only 4 reviews: three 1-star and one 2-star. The recurring complaint is the image generator returning near-identical images regardless of the prompt or chosen model while spending coins; one German reviewer on a paid plan also reported in May 2026 that the bot loses the thread and mixes languages, and one calls the site laggy. Four reviews are too few to call a trend.
• Community content: on 20 October the most-chatted user-made characters on the homepage were dominated by step-family scenarios, and several were written as "eighteen year old high school seniors" or set at a high school or school dance; "Petite" sat among the trending tags. Every one states an age of 18, but the school settings sit badly next to the site's own ban on content resembling minors. We are not linking them. Stick to characters who are unambiguously adults and report the rest.

GirlfriendGPT is a strong pick for roleplayers who want variety: about 70,500 community characters, NSFW on every paid plan and 5,000 messages a month from $15.

It scores well on what you get. Every feature we look for is on its official pages: chat, image generation, short videos, voice messages and calls, a character creator, realistic and anime styles, and an Android app. Monthly prices are public, quotas are spelled out per plan, cancellation is self-serve and refunds are at least reviewed case by case. Premium is the plan to start on; Deluxe is worth it for voice calls and heavy daily use.

It loses points where you cannot see enough before paying: yearly and coin-pack prices sit behind the sign-in, the cost of a video isn't published, and Trustpilot has only four reviews, mostly complaints about the image generator. The school-setting community characters on the front page are something to scroll past, not a reason to pay.

Choose GirlfriendGPT if you:
