The Short Answer

A FlirtCam "video call" is a live voice call with a video loop attached. On characters that have the cam feature, the window plays a set of pre-rendered clips of that character, each 5 to 10 seconds long, while a synthetic voice answers you in real time. Voice time costs 50 tokens a minute out of a 1,000-token monthly allowance. Spend nothing on images or clips and that is 20 minutes of calling a month.

As a format, that is more interesting than the marketing ("Videocalls available for you 24/7") makes it sound, and the company publishes proper European legal paperwork. The score comes down for what surrounds the product: hidden prices, a refund window that shuts after 24 hours or 20 tokens, tokens that expire when you leave, and a reputation that is almost entirely self-published.

What a FlirtCam "Video Call" Actually Is

FlirtCam's pages load the character roster from a public endpoint, and each entry lists the video files its cam window can play. On 29 September 2026 that roster held 170 official characters: 112 women and 58 men, 95 realistic and 75 anime. Nineteen had the cam feature switched on. Two of those nineteen are men.

For those 19 characters the data lists between 18 and 55 clips each, 708 in all. We measured a sample: vertical 768×1280 video, 5, 8 or 10 seconds long, filed under numbered types that run from a base loop to the "actions" the interface sells. That is how a clip player is built. A system generating a face live would have no use for a folder of finished MP4s.

The talking half is live. The interface labels the feature "Voice Video Call" and describes it as "a real-time voice conversation with this character. Billed per minute." Every character's data names an ElevenLabs voice. What we could not check without paying is whether any lip-sync gets layered over the clips during a call. Nothing in the public data suggests it, and a library of 5-to-10-second files points to video that cycles while the voice talks.

Then come "CAM actions", FlirtCam's term for clip unlocks. Each cam character has predefined action videos that "unlock permanently once purchased" with tokens. Subscribers can also make their own by generating an image, animating it with a motion prompt and saving it as a named action, using the same video generator priced below.

So is it a video call? It behaves more like a vertical cam show assembled from finished clips, with a live voice over the top. Some people will prefer that to a lip-synced avatar sliding into the uncanny valley. The Token Math

FlirtCam won't show plans or token packs before you sign up; the interface simply says "Please register or log in to see subscription plans and pricing." The token costs are another matter. They are public settings the site's own pages fetch for every visitor, and on 29 September 2026 they read: 10 tokens per image, 50 tokens per minute of voice call, and video at 8 tokens per second, multiplied by 2 at 720p and by 3 at 1080p. Clips come in 5 or 10 seconds. Premium includes 1,000 tokens a month.

For dollar prices we have to lean on third parties. Two independent listings (AIMojo, and ColorMango with a September 2026 stamp) both show a $19.99 list price cut to $12.99 for one month, $9.99 a month on a 3-month plan and $5.99 a month on a 12-month plan. FlirtCam's own interface text confirms monthly, 3-month and yearly billing and a "Save up to 70% on the Yearly plan" banner, which fits $5.99 against $19.99. At $12.99, a month spent entirely on calls works out to about 65 cents a minute; spent on images, 13 cents each.

Two rules shape the real bill. Token packs are only sold to active subscribers ("You need an active subscription to purchase tokens"), so there is no pay-as-you-go route. And tokens don't survive cancellation: per the terms, whatever is left "will expire and become unusable" at the end of the billing period. The Paywall, Step by Step

FlirtCam's FAQ spells out the free path: three messages without an account, three more after registering, then a subscription "to continue and view blurred images". A sign-up prompt elsewhere in the interface promises "10 free messages every 12h", so the allowance may depend on where you enter. Either way, free use is measured in minutes.

The adult side sits behind payment. The terms (revised 10 April 2026) state that nothing explicit is shown before payment, and that where local law requires it, access also depends on an age check with Yoti, the third-party verification service. There is a second safeguard inside the chat: a message that an "automated system estimated that you are not 18+" and ends the conversation. Explicit photos and videos are flagged "only available to Premium members".

Premium, per the interface, bundles unlimited messaging, "Premium AI with better memory", unlimited character creation and the monthly tokens. Images, video, voice calls and CAM actions all draw on those tokens.

Billing, Cancellation and Refunds

Charges appear as DevPro s.r.o. Nitra. The FAQ says card data is stored by the payment processor Inovio, and the terms list card, PayPal, Pay by Bank, other local methods and crypto. A crypto payment is one-time with no auto-renewal, though the checkout text ("Or switch to yearly and pay with crypto") suggests crypto may be reserved for the yearly plan.

Card subscriptions renew automatically. You cancel under Settings with an "Unsubscribe" button, past a retention screen offering 1,000 bonus tokens to stay. Failed renewals are retried automatically before an account is suspended.

Refunds are narrow. A subscription can be refunded within 24 hours of payment and only if you have used 20 tokens or fewer, which is two images. Token packs have to be untouched, and only card payments qualify. EU buyers waive the 14-day withdrawal right at checkout once they start using the service, and a chargeback cancels the account on the spot, with the terms reserving the right to block the card and "related accounts".

Who Runs It, and What It Keeps

FlirtCam is operated by DevPro s.r.o., a Slovak limited company at Fraňa Mojtu 18 in Nitra, company ID 50178377, established in 2016 according to its own legal notice. The flirtcam.ai domain was registered on 3 February 2025; the About page dates the launch to early 2025 and the anime characters to late 2025. It publishes a DSA contact point, a DMCA page and a blocked-content policy. Users cannot upload images at all, which rules out real-person face swaps by design.

The privacy policy (revised 3 April 2026) is more candid than the homepage. The FAQ says a deleted account leaves "no data". The policy keeps chat and conversation data for 18 months after account closure, account data for 18 months, and transaction records for five years under Slovak accounting law, citing chargeback windows of up to 540 days. It also names Hotjar for session recording. For a company fighting chargebacks that is not unusual. It just isn't what the FAQ tells you.

Reputation: Thin, and Partly Home-Made

On 29 September 2026 FlirtCam had no Trustpilot page, and our Reddit searches found no threads about it. The "What our users say" block on the homepage is not a review feed: the three testimonials, with their five-star ratings and dates that carry no year, are written straight into the site's JavaScript. Search results for the brand are crowded with pages hosted on Scribe and Google Sites. None of this proves anything bad about the service; it means there is almost no independent user record to check against.

Also worth knowing: the menu lists 197 "girl" and 32 "guy" category pages. They are search landing pages. The roster behind all of them is the same 170 characters.

FlirtCam deserves credit for trying a different shape. A vertical cam window cycling through dozens of short clips while a live voice talks back is closer to what many people want from "AI cam" than another text box, and the company does its paperwork properly. The problems are specific. The feature the brand is named after exists on 19 characters out of 170. The "video call" is pre-rendered video under a real-time voice at 50 tokens a minute, which caps a subscription at 20 minutes of calling if you buy nothing else. Tokens die with your subscription, refunds close after two images' worth of use, and the only praise on the site is praise the site wrote into its own code.

Try FlirtCam if the cam-show mood appeals to you, you'll stick to the cam characters, and you switch off auto-renewal the day you pay.

Skip it if you expect a face that answers you live, you want long calls, or you want to see the price before you hand over an email address.
