What You Get with Joi AI
On joi.com the character library is split into Joi Originals, Community-made and Celebrities (the licensed creator twins), filterable by gender (including non-binary) and by tags such as Dominant, Kinky, Fantasy, LGBT+, Trans and Mommy. You can build your own character, generate images and videos, chat by text or voice, start live video calls, and join group chats and chat rooms with AI participants. The help center lists six languages: English, German, French, Japanese, Spanish and Portuguese.

Creator Twins & Custom Characters
Joi's headline feature is its creators. EVA AI announced the rebrand on 7 April 2025, pitching Joi as a "sex-positive" alternative to dating apps with more than 100 "digital duplicates" of real models at launch; the creator portal now claims more than 300 adult creators, each keeping 80% of what their twin earns. Fans can chat with a creator's twin, buy AI and real content, send gifts, join video calls and subscribe to that one character.
Only verified creators upload source material: creators sign a separate agreement covering use of their appearance, and regular users can't upload content to build a character, because it could infringe someone's likeness. You build custom characters from Joi's own options instead.

Adult Content & Moderation
joi.com is built for explicit chat, images and video, with the explicit part paid in Neurons (see below). Its safety page explains the moderation: systems watch conversations in real time and "gently guide the conversation back to safer ground" instead of refusing outright, image and video prompts are checked before generation, and a human team reviews what reaches the public gallery.
The hard lines are the usual ones: nothing involving minors, nothing non-consensual, no sexual content of real, identifiable people without their consent (deepfakes included), no escort or trafficking solicitation. The help center says safety warnings flag things that shouldn't be flagged "more often than we'd like" and asks for screenshots to tune the system, so expect occasional redirects in kink-heavy roleplay. How Pricing Works: Premium + Neurons
Joi charges on two layers. A Premium subscription, billed monthly, quarterly, every six months or yearly according to the terms, unlocks the platform and includes a monthly quota; the help center says benefits reset every month on every plan, yearly ones included, and unused quota rolls over (the size of the quota isn't published). Neurons pay for "services which are not included in Subscription", which section 3.4 of the terms defines as romantic, erotic or sexually explicit messages, visual content and adult-themed scenarios. Prices "may vary based on region, length of subscription, selected Virtual friend" and promotions, and "loyal customers may get beneficial pricing". Bot Subscriptions, a separate paid subscription to one character (typically a creator's twin), only work while Premium is active (section 3.3).
What Extras Cost per Month
Joi's web pack prices sit behind the sign-up. The closest official reference is the App Store listing of EVA AI, Novi Limited's older app, which sells 500 Neurons for $9.99 and 2,000 for $29.99; Joi's help center confirms bigger packs cost less per Neuron. At those two rates (about $0.020 and $0.015 per Neuron), usage beyond your monthly quota adds up as follows:

These are ceilings: photos and videos cost "up to" the listed price, milder themes cost less, web prices may differ from the app, and your Premium quota absorbs part of the bill. Which Plan to Pick & Promo Codes
The terms describe two tiers, Basic (free, limited) and Premium (recurring); the front-end code also references a "Premium Plus" tier not priced publicly. What could and couldn't be confirmed on 29 September 2026:
- joi.com Premium: shown after sign-up. Third-party guides published in 2026 quote $17.77 a month, $26.66 a quarter and $60.95 a year; these figures are unconfirmed, so treat them as indicative.
- EVA AI app (App Store, same company): 1-month memberships listed at $11.99, $14.99, $15.99 and $24.99, 3 months at $20.99, 12 months at $47.99, "EVA Premium" at $13.99, and Neurons at $9.99 for 500 or $29.99 for 2,000.
- Payment: credit or debit card, Google Pay or Apple Pay where supported, and crypto where available. Charges show as "joi.com" on your statement.
Our pick: start with monthly Premium. The size of the monthly quota isn't public, so one month tells you how far it goes for the way you use Joi before you commit to a longer term. If it covers most of your chat, a longer billing period is a reasonable next step: benefits still reset every month on yearly plans and unused quota rolls over. - Prices after sign-up: joi.com shows no price until you have an account, and the terms say prices vary by region, billing length and promotion.
- Metered extras: explicit messages, photos and videos cost Neurons beyond your monthly quota, and per-character Bot Subscriptions stack on top of Premium. If Premium lapses, access to a character you subscribed to is suspended, with no refund or extension for the gap (section 3.3).
- Renewal and cancellation: Premium renews automatically until cancelled (section 3.7). The terms (section 3.2, read on 20 October 2026) say you "can cancel your subscription at any time in the My Subscriptions section of your account"; cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
- Refunds: subscriptions are generally non-refundable once activated. Joi refunds proven card fraud, one accidental Neuron purchase (in full if unused, partly if partly spent), and subscriptions it ends itself for reasons other than a rules breach. Requests go to support within 14 days of purchase.
- Chargebacks: the refund policy warns that after a chargeback Joi may disclose your private conversations to prove the charge was valid. Use the refund route first.
- Character ownership: the terms say characters you create, including their likeness and personality, belong to Joi AI.
- Company and age checks: Novi Limited, reg. HE 407352, Aglantzia, Nicosia, Cyprus, under Cypriot law; outside the US disputes go to LCIA arbitration in London, and US users agree to individual arbitration with a small-claims option up to $5,000. Age verification is handled by VerifyMyAge (background email check, facial age estimation or ID with a selfie match, depending on region), and Joi says it doesn't store copies of ID documents.
